Strangerville is a great experience & fun to play through, but it doesn’t effect standard gameplay much and has little replay value (it’s basically buying another game) wait to buy it until you want a properly new experience from the sims. Vampires adds a new way to play with good challenges and rewards (i think it’s their highest quality game pack, even though i prefer Parenthood).

Parenthood & Seasons are great and what I’d consider “base game packs” where they expand the playing experience while staying true to the vibe of the base game.
